The University Sports Nationals 2024 in Canberra brought together athletes from various universities, competing in many sports. Western Sydney University (WSU) entrusted me with the responsibility of capturing the athleticism and community spirit of their athlete representatives throughout the event.

Over the course of seven days, I diligently photographed WSU athletes across multiple sports, including Judo, Kendo, Oztag, Touch Football, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, and Futsal. My aim was to capture their dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

To ensure optimal timing for content, I established a direct communication channel with the WSU social media team. This collaboration allowed for a seamless integration of my team’s photographs into their social media strategy. Consequently, my images were prominently featured on both the Western Sydney University and Western Sydney University Sports social media pages.

To be time efficient, I provided a maximum 24-hour turnaround for the photographs. Each day’s captures were edited and delivered by the following morning, ready for immediate use by the social media team. This timely delivery not only enhanced the university’s real-time engagement with its audience but also showcased the dynamic atmosphere of the Uni Games. Most of the time, The social media team would repost my photographs from my social media page.
